MEDAWARE is not medical advice

MEDAWARE helps you organise your medicines, reminders and health records. It does not diagnose, prescribe or replace your doctor or pharmacist. The medicine information is summarised from pharmacology textbooks (with page references), may be out of date, and has not yet been reviewed by a doctor or pharmacist. Always follow your own prescription and the medicine leaflet, and ask a pharmacist or doctor if anything is unclear.

In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in India) or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not rely on MEDAWARE reminders for medicines where a missed dose is dangerous; reminders can be delayed or fail.

What we store

• Account: your email address and password (stored in hashed form by our database provider).
• Profile, if you fill it in: name, date of birth, gender, phone, emergency contact, blood group, height, weight, allergies, conditions, past procedures and a profile photo.
• Health records you add: medicines, doses and reminder times, dose logs, prescription details, and medical documents you upload (PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 5 MB each).
• Email reminder settings: whether reminders are on and your time zone, plus a log of each reminder email sent (address, medicine, date and delivery result).

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and MEDAWARE has no analytics or tracking.

How it is protected

• Database rules mean each account can only read and change its own records and files.
• Uploaded documents and photos are kept in private storage; each view uses a link that expires within an hour (documents within one minute).
• All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS).

Services that process your data

• Supabase stores your account, records and files. Our project is hosted in Tokyo, Japan.
• Brevo sends password-reset, sign-up and reminder emails. Reminder emails contain the medicine name and the dose you saved, so anyone with access to your inbox can see them.
• Vercel hosts the website and may keep standard request logs (such as IP address and browser).
• Google Fonts and jsDelivr deliver fonts and a code library, so your browser contacts them when pages load.

Your browser also stores your sign-in session and theme choice on your device.

Your choices

• You can edit or delete medicines, logs, prescriptions, profile details and documents in the app at any time.
• You can turn email reminders off in the dashboard.
• You can delete your whole account and everything in it from your profile page (Delete my account). This removes your records and files permanently.

Terms of use

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the medicines and records you enter, and for keeping your password private.
• MEDAWARE is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available, error-free or that reminders will arrive on time.
• You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or use MEDAWARE with a parent or guardian.
• Do not use MEDAWARE to store other people's health information without their permission.
• We may update this page; the date at the top shows the latest version.
